She is best known for her role as perky halfway house director Pam in the 1985 horror film Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning. Unlike some other 'Friday' leading ladies, whose default position seems to be blaming these films for their failed careers, Melanie is proud of her association with the long-running series.
