Over the course of these "vertical hours", Louis-José takes up the recipe that made his first two laps of the track successful: observations of trivial everyday facts that he notes with candor, gentle cynicism and a sense of punch that is unique to it. Whether he's tackling the squirrels' lack of social etiquette, imagining out loud a lion sending text messages or serving up his inimitable facial expressions and gestures, Louis-José always hits the mark. sensitive areas of his flowerbed and has a knack for generating images in our minds.
This is to address a wink to the phrase "The Vertical Hour" by French writer Louis-Ferdinand Céline, which refers to these tests that life sends us and to which we must stand up and right that Louis-José Houde and headlined his latest work. Articulating his jokes around the canvas, the thirties drew on his personal background and in these little things every day to tie his numbers. With the result, a funny together from beginning to end, always biting, but never vulgar or offensive.
